Gasta Style
As Indi has grown, her little personality has also blossomed. When we first adopted her she never made eye contact unless there was food involved. Nowadays, that has changed, a lot. As of late little miss Indi has been vocal about what she wants and the dog may not talk but she sure as hell knows how to communicate. Lately, when she wants to go out, besides sitting in front of the door, she has started pawing the door. OK! Initially, that was her request for going out. In the past week if she is outside and she wants to come inside she will once again paw the door, from the other side. OK! I am all down with this alternative communication!
Our loved spoiled dog currently has three beds: one in the living room, one in her crate, and the other at the foot of the bed next to me. This is where she has been sleeping at night for the past couple of months once the higher powers in charge blessed us with permission for the dog to enter the forbidden room. Let me tell ya it is great! I love the fact that she is right there next to me. Of course the amusing thing is that now there is a symphony of snoring every night, in addition to the occasional sleep talker, now I also hear the occasional doggy dream blabber.
So back to the beds. I washed the covers of all of her three beds this afternoon. Once night time came around Indi started wandering around the house taking turn staring at both of us.
I was sitting in the living room minding my own business and working on the spiffy banner above. She comes and she simply stands and stares at me.
“What’s up Indi bug?” Stare.
“whatcha staring at?” Stare.
“Do you want to go out?” Tilts head slightly do the left.
“Do you want to go peepee and poopies?” Tilts head slightly to the left.
“Are you the best doggy in the world?” Stare.
“Do you want to go out?” Tilts head slightly to the left. Ohhh is there a pattern here?
“Hi good doggy!” Stare.
“Do you want to go out?” Tilts head slightly to the left. Oooh how I love to mess with this dog!
Front door magically opens and she goes out. Two minutes later she paws the door. The door magically opens again. She plants herself in the same spot and stares at me again. Then she lets out one of her grumpy sounds. I get up and she starts walking towards the bedroom; she pokes her head in and then she looks back at me, stares.
“Ohh you want your bed! You are wondering what the hell happened to my bed? I get it!”
I put on the cover to her living room bed, she can’t wait to get on it and she steps on it while I am putting the cover on. I walk over to the other side of the living room and place it in its usual location. I come back and sit on the couch. She walks around it, then walks back and plants herself in the same spot as before and she stares at me. AHhhhhh
“Indi what is wrong? What do you need?”
I get up go over to the bed lean down and pat on it while saying: “Indi come.”
She comes over does her wild animals instict of circling before laying down and just drops down. A few minutes later she starts snoring.
