J and I went to Porky’s BBQ in downtown San Pedro this past Friday. The businesses around were having a Black Friday sale, but the only issue was that the streets were pretty much deserted, which personally made me sad.  But anyway, I was soon chippery again because of all the goodness below.

After J placed our order this tray was brought to us by Jenny who greeted us and took our order.

november-2008-271-copy-smallI must tell the world a little secret.  When I read about the opening of Porky’s BBQ I told J with much excitement and eagerly suggested that we should go and give it a try. His response was, to put it lightly, a stare followed by a dry and unenthusiastic, “I don’t think so.” Fast forward a couple of months and here we were sitting at the tables outside with Indi going crazy smelling all the goodness around her.

The samples were delicious and I am pretty sure I may have heard, “we should order that next time.” Oh how I was singing victory inside.  And then the rest of the food came.  We ordered Ribs and Chicken Strips. Both were absolutely DUHLICIOUS!

november-2008-276-copy-smallDoesn’t that look appetizing?!! Oh how good it was. The leftovers were so good the next day too! And look at those French Fries, they had me at hello! And the BBQ sauce was out of this world good.

november-2008-275-copy-smallI swear, these were the best chicken strips I have ever had. The batter was so yummy and fluffy. Just the thought of them makes my mouth water and the only adjectives that I can think of are YUMMY and SCRUMPTIOUS.

november-2008-273-copy-smallNow this post would not be complete if I did not include a picture of Miss Friendliness Jenny. Here she is posing with our food.  Overall, the food and service were both excellent and we will definitely go back again! Mr. Earl, who ever you are, you rock!
